- Familiar atmosphere
- Grades 4 to 6
- Individualized
- Professional
- State-approved
In our mixed-age middle school class, we teach students in grades 4 through 6. We follow the Maria Montessori curriculum and Lehrplan 21. Our educational approach is guided by the principles of Maria Montessori, Fabian Grolimund, and Remo Largo. The languages of instruction are German and English. French as a foreign language is taught starting in middle school.
Your child will acquire cognitive and social skills in student-centered sequences led by teachers. Students are taught in a family-like environment, both in groups and individually.
We teach one half-day per week outdoors in the forest, at a playground, in a library, or at a museum.
We measure learning success and communicate transparently. Regular test-based assessments show the child, teachers, and parents the child’s academic development in a transparent manner.
We offer a connection to the public school system. We prepare children for the transition to secondary or high school (Gymnasium).

The mixed-age middle school class (grades 4–6), with 18 to a maximum of 24 children, is taught and supervised by two to three specialists. We often teach in small groups, for example in German and mathematics.
